My name is Emily Hunter, and I am originally from Newark, Delaware. I am about to complete my double major in math and middle school math education as well as a minor in secondary education. I plan to graduate from Campbellsville University, and I am planning to start my masters next fall. Prior to college, I was homeschooled from kindergarten to seventh grade, and then I attended Mount Sophia Academy from seventh grade to twelfth grade. During high school, I took college classes at Del Tech Community College. One of the activities that I really enjoy is swimming. I have been on a swim team since the age of nine, and I swam three and a half years in college. Some of the things that I enjoy doing in my free time are coaching a swim team, hiking, playing any type of sport, tie-dyeing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I have two very supportive parents, Jeff and Tammy and a brother who is nineteen named Nathan. They all live back in Delaware. I love working with kids and helping them learn! I love the moment when a child grasps a concept that they were stuggling to understand. It is such a rewarding experience to observe, and in my profession, I get the opportunity to observe this almost every single day. I am looking forward to my future career as a teacher!
